Les idées des élèves du secondaire sur les concepts thermiques
Abstract
This article presents the basic planning and results of a research project designed to explore the possibilities of transforming high school students' ideas about certain thermal concepts and phenomena. Asking the question "What is happening in this experiment and how can it be explained?", we proposed experimental situations in which students were confronted with research data juxtaposed with their knowledge from school courses and everyday reality. This qualitative research involved 30 15-year-old students. Analysis of the research data shows that students' ideas create obstacles to understanding phenomena, but that in some cases these can be overcome.
