Abstract

Higher education markets are becoming more open and competitive, and information on the quality of institutions is now required. This has led to the establishment of various complex and multidimensional international assessment and ranking instruments for academic activities. In this article, we are interested in identifying how Tunisian researchers perceive Ranking and determine the different ranking criteria. In the conceptual framework of this work, we have used the literature addressing the phenomenon of university rankings. The data used in this study come from a questionnaire among 103 Tunisian researchers from different academic institutions disseminated digitally. The results showed that Tunisian researchers perceive university rankings differently.
